Mama,

I’m a wearin my ring with the turquoise cross from the Mexican market. In Loredo. I remember you sayin ‘now Lou-Ann, don’t you go losin that! And I never did Mama.

I been real good.

I threw Bobs ring in the gulch past First Baptist after he promised. I just go and done it, now you know.

I only love you. And Daddy. Of course the baby.

The flower children ARE windowbox marigolds. Jennys on the needle now. My Dear Lord, I am prayin for her soul every night and day.

Kenny says he’s gonna get me in pictures. Like Marilyn. Remember The Misfits in Abilene? I was still in ribbons and bows.

A girl left me a groovy white top. Eyelets all over lettin in the light. I think I’m gonna tie my blue ribbon right round my waist.

Mama I’m in an itty bitty bind but I’ll be home real soon. I need just a bit more. They all been so kind to me, so kind.
